The following are summaries of the training programs offered by Jolene Brackey of Enhanced Moments. These programs, also available on DVD, can be presented individually or combined to fit your needs to get optimum results. Fees can be found in the "Services" section of this site. In this presentation, you'll be sure to catch the vision. A vision that we will soon look beyond the challenges of Alzheimer's disease and focus more of our energy on creating moments of joy. It's impossible to create a perfectly wonderful day, but you sure can create perfectly wonderful moments. Joy comes from triggering fond childhood memories, making quality connections, living a person's truth, singing a favorite song, replacing personal treasures, remembering peoples' greatness, sharing simple pleasures and reviving their spirits. Catch the speaker's energy and obtain fun, simple ways to bring joy and hope into everyday.

As this presentation unfolds, you'll see that even though we cannot give those with Alzheimer's back their memories, we can give them an experience that triggers their memory. They may not understand what you are saying, but they are more likely to understand what they see, touch, smell and hear. Learn ways to trigger memories by giving them their "stuff" back. It's not about the big things we do. It's about the simple pleasures we share everyday.

After this presentation, you'll see that there are understandable reasons why people with dementia do not like the bathing process. The solution-focused speaker addresses some of the reasons, and helps spark a new understanding. This understanding will help reduce negative reactions by changing the bathing process. Answering the questions of when, where, and how people have always taken a bath, will help offer more familiarity - and comfort - during the bathing process. Lastly, the energetic speaker will pass on practical solutions that have worked for other care providers.
